Level descriptions
Intermediate Level
You have taken local classes and maybe one or more workshops. You can dance the basic movements and steps, know some variations, and can choose between them depending on the music.
Intermediate/Advanced
You travel to festivals and have attended workshops. You have a broader vocabulary of blues aesthetics and movements, good musicality, and a strong understanding of partnership.
Advanced Level
You can consistently demonstrate, describe, and differentiate a range of blues styles and movements while keeping blues aesthetics present. You may teach locally and regularly join international workshops.

Dan Repsch
Dan is deeply immersed in blues music and movement. His classes bring enthusiasm, innovation, connection, and attention to your partner. He is also a veteran DJ and organizer, with experience at events across four continents, and he loves helping students move past their own boundaries.
Julie Brown
Julie Brown is a Boston-based blues dance teacher, DJ, choreographer, competitor, organizer, and devoted student. They have been part of blues dance since 2004, teaching around the world and winning multiple national competitions.
